EXAMPLE / AFTER
Reviewed recurring support questions each week and updated help articles with the support team to explain common setup issues.
A fictional support specialist wants to replace a vague responsibility with a concrete description. Their instruction: “Keep the weekly review and help articles. Remove the generic opening.”
Start with the work: “Reviewed” is more specific than “responsible for.”
Keep the useful detail: the weekly review and help articles explain the contribution.
Leave out the claim you cannot prove: clearer wording does not need a made-up performance metric.
PUT IT INTO PRACTICE
A clearer way forward.
- 01
Make the edit you already know
Use the structured editor to update experience, education, skills and other resume sections. Correct factual details directly instead of asking an assistant to guess.
- 02
Put your feedback in context
Choose a field or select a passage in the document and add an instruction to the conversation. Explain what to preserve as well as what to change.
- 03
Check the whole passage
Read the revised line alongside its neighbors. Check voice, tense and repeated information, then review the document preview for wrapping and spacing.
A LITTLE MORE DETAIL
Before you get started.
Can I change only one part of my resume?
Yes. Direct editing lets you work on individual fields. Document annotations also let you attach a specific field or text selection to an instruction for the AI assistant.
Can I undo an AI edit?
The workspace provides Undo for the latest supported content change. Review edits as you make them; a saved resume version is useful when you want a separate record of a finished document.
Does changing the design rewrite my experience?
Content and design are separate parts of the workspace. Use Edit resume for your facts and wording, and Design for the document presentation. Check the preview after either kind of change.
